Persian Abstract

چکیده مقدمه: بر اساس مطالعات اخیر میزان چاقی، اضافه وزن و کم تحرکی در بین افراد جامعه بویژه شاغلین در حال افزایش است که می تواند بر بهره­وری و توانایی انجام کار کارکنان صنایع تاثیرگذار باشد، این مطالعه با هدف بررسی تاثیر شاخص توده بدنی و ورزش بر شاخص توانایی کار کارکنان  شرکت پگاه گلستان صورت گرفت. روش ها: این مطالعه توصیفی –تحلیلی از نوع مقطعی بود و بر اساس روش نمونه گیری تصادفی ساده بر روی 107 نفر از شاغلین شرکت پگاه گلستان در سال 1394 انجام شد. اطلاعات دموگرافیک و شغلی با استفاده از پرسشنامه استاندارد شاخص توانایی کار جمع­آوری شد. همچنین شاخص توده بدنی افراد نیز بر اساس دستورالعمل سازمان جهانی بهداشت (WHO) اندازه­گیری و دسته­بدنی شد و سپس اطلاعات گردآوری شده با استفاده از نرم­افزار SPSS  نسخه 21 و آزمونهای تی تست، آنالیز واریانس و همبستگی پیرسون مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. نتایج: میانگین شاخص توده بدن (BMI) در این مطالعه 8/3 ±9/25 بدست آمد که  در دسته سوم (9/29-25) قرار می­گیرد و بیانگر وجود اضافه وزن در بین کارکنان این شرکت می­باشد. میانگین شاخص توانایی کار در افراد مورد مطالعه 56/5±92/44 می­باشد که مطابق با طبقه­بندی نمره شاخص توانایی کار( WAI) 9/10 ، 6/35 ، 3/53 درصد از افراد مورد مطالعه به ترتیب دارای توانایی کار متوسط، خوب و عالی بودند. بین فعالیت ورزشی با شاخص WAI ارتباط معنا داری وجود داشت(001/0p <). همچنین بین شاخص BMI و شاخص توانایی کار رابطه معناداری مشاهده نگردید(385/0p =). نتیجه‌گیری: در این مطالعه میانگین شاخص توانایی کار همچون مطالعات دیگر در یک سطح قابل قبول قرار داشت (WAI > 36). با توجه به میانگین سنی کارکنان) 3/7± 38/32 (که نشان­دهنده جوان بودن افراد تحت مطالعه می­باشد و وجود اضافه­وزن و کم تحرکی می­تواند در آینده منجر به بروز بیماریهای مختلف و کاهش توانایی کاری و بازنشستگی پیش از موعد گردد.

The effect of body mass index and exercise activity on the work ability index among staff of Pegah Company

Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction: According to recent studies, the rate of overweight, obesity and low physical activity are rising among individuals, especially among workers that can affect the productivity and ability of working. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of body mass index (BMI) and exercise activity on the work ability index (WAI) of the employees of Pegah Golestan Company. Methods: This descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional study based on simple randomized sampling method and performed on 107 employees of Pegah Company in 2015. Demographic and job related information were collected using standard work ability index questionnaire. The body mass index was measured and classified based on the guidelines of World Health Organization (WHO). Collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 21 software using T-Test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation tests. Results: Mean of the work ability index in this study was 25.9± 3.8 wich indicates overweight among the staff of the company. Also, the mean work ability index in the study subjects was 44.92± 5.56. According to WAI score, 10.9, 35.6, and 53.3 percent of subjects, have the ability of average, good and excellent for working, respectively. There was a significant correlation between exercise activity and mean WAI index (P < 0.001). However, the relationship between BMI index and work ability index was not significant (p = 0.385). Conclusion: The mean WAI was at an acceptable level (WAI >36). Considering the average age of employees (32.38 ± 7.3) which ndicates that they are young, their overweight and sedentary lifestyle can lead to various diseases, reduced working ability, and early retirement in the future.
