Abstract

Abstract Background and Aim: Low back pain (LBP) is one of the major reasons of medical consultations. This disorder includes a wide range of pain levels. Management and control of LBP in early stages is much easier than their progressed levels that imposes many problems and damages to the health care system. Material and Method: This cross-sectional study was performed on 41 operating room staffs of associated hospitals to the Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences in 2017. Data was collected through ODQ standard index and demographic questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive statistics and chi-square test with SPSS V20.0. Results: The staffs mean age was 32.45±5.71 and 46.3% was male and 53.7% was female. LBP mean scores of participants was 12.2±20.02. Most of them had experienced a LBP as a mild disability (41.5%) and it was more in females than males. There were no significant association between LBP scores and educational level or gender (p>0.05) but LBP level had a significant relationship with individual`s ages. Conclusion: Based on mean scores in this study, operating room staffs werenot suffered from high levels of LBP. Keywords: Low back pain, Staffs, Operating room
