The most common surgery of the world is cesarean section. The quality of the operation has a direct impact on the mother and neonate. Many factors have direct impact on a healthy operation and various outcomes are seen. Preventing operation side effects can decrease adverse outcomes and improve the general health situation of the society. One of the most preventable side effects of cesarean section is surgical site infection. Currently, many preventive protocols are implemented. However, their efficacy is not totally clear. This study was carried out to review studies conducted in this matter.
