Abstract

Introduction: Incivil behavior can severely disrupt the teaching and learning process by creating conflicts and tension between teachers and students lead. The aim of this study was determining the incivility behavior training of teachers and students, school nurses and midwives Branch was conducted in 2016. Methods: In this cross-sectional study using a questionnaire, 20 teachers and 150 students of Nursing and Midwifery department of Shahrekord university of medical sciences, in three fields(nursing, operating room and midwifery) based on a convenience sample of questions about incivility behavior (disruptive and threatening) responded. Data from the incivility behavior questionnaire’s Clark and demographic information collected in the form of mean, standard deviation, percent and frequency and analytical tests such as Pearson, chi-square and Phi were reported. Results: In this study from any of the nursing, midwifery and operating room patients in the study had 50 participants with an average age of 54/4 ± 06/22 years. Of the 20 professors participating in the study, 90% were women and the average age 38/9 ± 43/43 years. The professors and students of the prevalence of incivility behavior ] was average, but participants believed that few students more than teachers (40% vs. 60%) in incidence were involved while that of students in both groups incivility behavior of a much training involved. Conclusion: Although in this study the frequency and severity of incivility behavior by students and teachers were not considerable, but due to the damaging effects of such behavior in learning environments and teaching appropriate strategies to create learning environments is highly necessary.
