The impact of Genistein on expression of Tumor Suppressor gene E-cadherin in ALL through its inducing effect on Histon modification


Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) dominates as an acute hematological malignancy in children; however the disease can appear at any age(1) ALL and lymphoblastic lymphoma constitute a family of genetically heterogeneous lymphoid neoplasms derived from B- and T-lymphoid progenitors. Diagnosis is based on morphologic, immunophenotypic, and genetic features that allow differentiation from normal progenitors and other hematopoietic and nonhematopoietic neoplasms. (2) The onset may be insidious or acute. Fatigue, lethargy, persistent fever, bleeding manifestations, bone and joint pain are the most common presenting features. .(1) B-precursor ALL is the most common form of acute leukemia in children and thus represents the most common malignancy of childhood
